William Hammett is a novelist, ghostwriter, and poet. He writes both fiction and nonfiction. His poetry has been published in literary journals such as American Poets & Poetry, Lynx, Pegasus, Twilight Ending, Black Buzzard Review, Mojo Risin', Parnassus Literary Journal, Poem, The Rockford Review, The Lyric, Tight, Creative Juices, Angelflesh, and many more.
He is also the author of the novels John Lennon and the Mercy Street Café, Street Magic, The Ghost of Richard Brautigan, Circling Goes the Wind (middle reader), and Rimsky Rises (YA).
He taught literature and writing for twenty-two years at colleges and universities.
